Fly Soul Flies – VISION Streamer PIKE – Pike

Fly Soul Flies – VISION Streamer PIKE – Pike

Our PIKE fly series features 8 popular models.

Bream or Perch – Skitmört
“Skitmört” is one of the most important, if not *the* most important, colors in a Finnish pike angler’s fly box.
20-pounders often fill their bellies with large bream or perch, and Skitmört’s rich gold and olive combination fits this pattern perfectly.
This legendary jerkbait color is truly effective even on a fly!

Roach
A natural baitfish color is the most obvious choice for pike fly boxes.
Silver roach are a staple in pike diets almost everywhere.
A natural roach-like color is a great starting fly, especially in clear water.

Ambulance
A super effective trigger color!
The bright colors of the Ambulance often trigger strikes if you’re getting pike follows on a natural streamer, or when you need a vibrant color in murky water.
The classic schlappen tail and a mix of bucktail and synthetic fibers give the fly a great profile and plenty of movement.

Parrot
Parrot, along with Ambulance, is one of the most important fly colors for pike anglers.
Especially in stained water, it’s all about making the fly visible and stand out.
In such cases, a cocktail of three eye-catching colors can save the day!

Hollow Deceiver Black & Red
Red and black – a must-have color in any pike fly box.
The classic Hollow Deceiver style offers a high profile, lively swimming action, and easy casting.

Red Head Schlappen Deceiver
If you’ve browsed our pike flies, you might have noticed our love for white-tailed Hollow Deceivers.
Combine that with a red head and some flash, and you simply get one of the best predator flies in the world.
Guaranteed action in all pike fishing situations.

Budgie Schlappen – Undulaatti Schlappen
Blue, fluorescent yellow, and white – we couldn’t go pike fishing without these colors.
Budgie colors are a familiar combination for many, like the Marabou Deceivers made famous by the Heittokalastajan Hauki bible twenty years ago, which have long been our favorites.
Here, these colors are dressed on a more modern, hollow-style bucktail fly, topped with a schlappen tail.
If you had to fish for pike with just one fly, this would be an easy choice!

Rotten Carrot
The Rotten Carrot doesn’t resemble a perch or roach, even with a stretch of the imagination, but then again, it’s not a super flashy color either.
Perhaps that’s why it works so well for pike.
In our own boxes, it’s among the best pike flies.

All flies are tied on a Partridge Universal Predator X 6/0 hook.
