XO Reel

A high-end reel demands an exceptional drag, ample storage capacity, a light yet robust build, and finally, a unique design that clearly sets it apart from other reels on the market.
These were our main goals when we set out to create our new XO reels.

VXOR34 weighs 65 g and holds a WF4 line + 50 m of 20 lb backing.
VXOR56 weighs 123 g and holds a WF6 line + 50 m of 20 lb backing.
VXOR78 weighs 135 g and holds a WF8 line + 150 m of 20 lb backing.

The stunning look of the XO reel combined with the XLB reel’s drag power, a braking mechanism proven for over 20 years with countless huge fish to its credit.
The larger reels are designed for heavy-duty salmon and saltwater use.
The drag power reaches its maximum in less than 2.5 turns of the drag knob, giving you an impressive maximum force of 8 kg.
The seals are made in Germany, and all bearings come from Japan.

VXOR910 weighs 255 g and holds a 25 g Hybrid line + 200 m of 36 lbs Dacspun backing.
VXOR1012 weighs 262 g and holds a 43 g Hybrid line + 200 m of 36 lbs Dacspun backing.

The XO 8-9 reel is a new addition to the XO Merisuola reel family.
The 8-9 is the ideal size reel for heavier single-handed rods and Switch rods.
With thin backing and monofilament running line, it has enough capacity even for smaller two-handed rods.
The drag system is a slightly modified version of the larger, more robust 9-10 and 10-12 reels, allowing us to create a reel of ideal weight with ample maximum drag force.
The frame and spool are elegantly machined to reduce weight, yet the construction makes this reel super rigid.

VXOR89 weighs 160 g and holds a WF9 line + 130 m of 30 lb backing.
